School History: Texas Serenity Academy Charter School was founded in 1998 in Texas as an open enrollment charter school.  Both campuses are located in Northwest Houston.  Our school district is overseen and governed by our School Board that reports directly to the Texas Education Agency.  We receive funding from the Texas Education Agency for each student that attends our school.  We are in the process of expanding our school district over the next 5-years. Our plan is to build our schools in conjunction with communities seeking to improve student performance.  The Texas Education Agency awarded Texas Serenity Academy Charter School District a 10-year charter renewal that will not expire until August 2026.

2015-2019 STAAR Test Results

With the help of excellent, certified and dedicated teachers, paired with parental support, our students have consistently exceeded the State averages on the STAAR tests administered to all Texas students by the Texas Education Agency. Our formula for successfully performing on the STAAR tests is rigorously preparing students all school year to have high expectations when taking their STAAR tests. Our district uses various software educational programs such as the DMAC software system to help students become more familiar with the domains of the STAAR tests. We also have extended day and mandatory Saturday tutorials to help prepare students for the STAAR tests. Our students believe in their academic capabilities and we constantly reinforce that our students can academically compete with any students in the United States and worldwide. At the start of every school day our students hear the same message from each campus Principal over the intercom; “What will we do on the STAAR, 100% on the STAAR, what will we do on the STAAR, 100% on the STAAR, why because we are the Fighting Gladiators and we’ve done it before and we will do it again and remember that we love you here at Texas Serenity Academy, go Gladiators!”
